Profile
Inside the ring.
Anthony "Princesa" Olascuaga is the reigning WBO World Flyweight Champion, a Los Angeles native who built his career the hard way: starting 5-0 as a quiet West Coast prospect before being dropped into deep water against one of the division's very best on short notice.
That short-notice fight, in April 2023, came against unified light flyweight champion Kenshiro Teraji in Japan. It is the only loss on Olascuaga's record. Sixteen months later, in July 2024, he travelled back to Japan and stopped Riku Kano in the third round to claim the vacant WBO flyweight title, and has held it ever since, defending it across three knockouts and counting.
In the ring, Olascuaga is a busy, accurate orthodox boxer who closes distance well and finishes when openings appear. The nickname Princesa was inherited from his older sister, a tribute he carries forward every fight.
